About me
Christian Terboven studied computer science at RWTH Aachen University and specialized on High Performance Computing. Since completing his diploma in 2006 he is working as a research associate in the HPC department of the Center for Computing and Communication at RWTH Aachen University. In 10/2009 he became the deputy lead of the HPC department.
His research interests center around Parallel Programming – with a focus on Shared-Memory architectures, Paradigms, Programming Languages, and related Software Engineering aspects.
Since 2006 he is a member of the OpenMP Language Committee and the second representative in the OpenMP Architecture Review Board for RWTH Aachen. He lead the “Windows-HPC” project that started in 2004 and introduced HPC on Windows as a service for RWTH Aachen University and the state of North-Rhine Westphalia, using the Microsoft Windows HPC Server product.
